Are you jonesing for some sweaty "me" time? Here's how to make your home a spa sanctuary with a hot yoga at-home kit.
Everyone needs a bit of pampering once in a while, and here at The Hot Yoga Dome, we are huge fans of healthy selfishness.
It totally is.
Hot yoga exists for a reason. It's empowering. It’s challenging. It's invigorating. Once you've completed a full class for the first time without passing out, you feel strong enough to take on anything life throws your way. Here are just a few of the perks of the hot yoga lifestyle:
- Increased strength and flexibility
- Improved mood
- Better focus and concentration
- Dewy skin
What's not to love?
Because hot yoga classes are essentially on a long pause for most of us, a hot yoga at-home kit is essential. While it's not impossible to set up your own home hot yoga studio with a yoga mat, a heater, and a room, it's not the most efficient -- or successful -- strategy.
If you want a hot yoga setup that delivers a spa-worthy hot yoga experience, here's what you need.
The Hot Yoga Dome
This little hot yoga tent is what makes the hot yoga experience truly amazing.
The Hot Yoga Dome is a fully insulated hot yoga hut that inflates and heats in under 10 minutes. It's an environmentally friendly, energy-saving resource. It keeps the heat and humidity locked within the dome, so your heating unit doesn't have to work too hard maintaining the temperature.
The Hot Yoga Dome is available in three sizes. The Tiny Dome, which can hold one yoga mat, can be inflated and used in small apartments. The Compact Home Dome, the next largest size, can accommodate a maximum of two yoga mats (closely). The Home Dome is large enough to hold three yoga mats. Finally, the Hot Yoga Studio Dome is designed for small yoga classes -- it can hold a maximum of 16 yoga mats. And speaking of yoga mats...
You'll need a high-quality yoga mat- we rec commend Manduka. You'll be doing a lot of sweating, so having something resistant to slippings, like a yogi toe or some yoga paws will help you achieve your poses safely and confidently.
Do not attempt hot yoga without a sweat towel. If sweat starts running into your eyes, it's a lot harder to maintain balancing poses.
You'll need a space heater to turn your dome into a hot yoga haven. For space heater recommendations, don't hesitate to contact us after you purchase your Hot Yoga Dome.
Moist air is key to the ultimate hot yoga experience, so a sauna pot is essential. We'll be more than happy to suggest brands that deliver the best results.
High-quality Extension Cord
The Hot Yoga Dome requires a 14-gauge extension cord with a 15 amp capacity.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Add emergenC or drink coconut water before and after practice to make sure you are effectively rehydrating your body.
If you enjoy music during your practice, having speakers in your dome is a no-brainer. The right music can be highly motivating, helping you to stay in the zone even in the most challenging poses.
